SPIE LTEC, operating as part of the SPIE Group in Poland and specialising in building automation solutions, has realised a comprehensive implementation of teletechnical installations and Building Management System (BMS) systems for the new premises of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.
The scope of the project included the execution of the complete teletechnical infrastructure together with the supply of devices and materials, as well as the integration of all systems into a central system for the management of security and technical infrastructure of the building. The implemented solutions enable efficient monitoring and management of the facility's key installations.
The implementation required a special approach due to the nature of the investment. Music venues are among the most demanding in terms of acoustic parameters, so the technologies used had to be precisely matched to both the specifics of the teaching and concert spaces and the high technical requirements of the entire facility.
The project in Bydgoszcz is another example of SPIE LTEC's implementation in the area of modern, integrated systems for demanding public facilities.
One of the key challenges during implementation was the specific nature of the facility, which fulfils an artistic and educational function. The building contains concert halls and around 100 rehearsal rooms, each of which was individually acoustically isolated. The implementation of the installation required stringent sound insulation parameters - after completion of the work in the individual rooms, their acoustic properties were verified by a specialist. This meant the need for special seals and non-standard installation solutions, different from typical realisations in office or commercial buildings.
