Warsaw West railway station

SPIE LTEC Technologie realised a building automation and BMS system at Warszawa Zachodnia railway station

Zawartość

The completed renovation of the Warsaw West railway station is one of the largest infrastructure investments in Poland in recent years. As part of the project, SPIE LTEC Technologie, designed and implemented a comprehensive Building Management System (BMS), responsible for managing the key technical installations of the new facility.

The BMS controls, among other things, ventilation, heating and air conditioning in the main hall of the station, underground spaces, commercial pavilions and associated buildings with railway functions. Its aim is to ensure the comfort of the facility's users while optimising energy consumption.

The solution also enables the ongoing monitoring of utility consumption - electricity, water, gas, heat and cooling - based on data collected from hundreds of sensors distributed throughout the complex. The system supports rapid response to irregularities and efficient management of the technical infrastructure.

An integral element of the BMS is also the supervision of the photovoltaic installation located on the roof of the platforms. The system provides visualisation of energy production, its use for the needs of the station and energy consumption from the grid, enabling ongoing energy analysis of the facility.

The project was carried out by SPIE LTEC Technologie in cooperation with Budimex, which acted as general contractor for the investment. The company was responsible for both the development of the design and execution documentation, as well as the implementation of the system and the coordination of inter-branch work.

The solutions applied support the environmental objectives of the investment and the daily operation of the station, facilitating the management of the extensive technical infrastructure and improving the comfort of passengers and employees.
